RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Manage direct reports and contributes in business unit's marketing plans
2. Within established business plans and assigned authority, selects, analyzes, and underwrites individual risks utilizing corporate pricing and reinsurance techniques in order to obtain desired results. Develop business plan, process for the office to achieve the key goals of the business unit.
3. Provides quality and timely service to producers, retail and wholesale, and reinsurers consistent with established service standards.
4. Makes customer presentations/visits in order to develop positive long-term relationships.
5. Provides quality and timely input on assigned projects in order to meet our needs in the changing market and support profitable growth.
6. Service and process individual file and departmental work flow accurately and timely to ensure quality service to customers and retention of desirable accounts.
7. Participate in the office, business unit, group, and company functions on a level consistent with good company appearance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong technical experience in Inland Marine - Minimum 10 years Inland Marine experience. Specifically builders risk and/or motor truck cargo
• Underwriting and development experience for Inland Marine
• Strong marketing and underwriting skills with an emphasis on wholesaler production and Western United States
• Property proficiency
• Able to work with and develop relationships with superiors, subordinates and peers
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Results oriented to the attainment of business goals and objectives through teamwork.
• PC and Microsoft Office Products proficient
