PURPOSE 1. Achieve budgeted objectives through leading the successful development and deployment of resources and the execution of the Community Banks Practice strategies throughout the Bond & Financial Products Regional Organization. 2. Spend appropriate time encouraging/leading Account Executives and Managing Directors in the development of their Regional territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES ¿ UNDERWRITING 1. Proactively manage the Business Unit and Practice strategies; including being informed about loss activity and trends on the Practice book of business. 2. Assure that policies and accounts are underwritten according to market segment strategies and guidelines. 3. Over-authority of the Community banks Practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES ¿ SALES MANAGEMENT 1. Collaborate with the Regional Managing Directors in the development of local strategy - coordinates strategy development with Business Unit goals. 2. Develop and implement long and short term territorial plans in order to achieve budget objectives. 3. Identify and capture new business opportunities for the Regional Organization and effectively cross sell Bond & Financial Products business units (e.g., Private Non-Profit, Commercial Surety). Champions cross sell opportunities across the Company. 4. Foster the highest level of customer service. ¿Instill a sense of urgency with team in responding to both internal and external customers. ¿Communicate decisions without jeopardizing relationships. ¿Develop and maintain agent, broker and client relationships to support implementation of strategy. ¿Participate in the Banking industry and state banking associations. ¿Conduct themselves in a professional manner both internally as well as externally. ¿Exhibit a high level of integrity. Understands the importance for confidentiality when appropriate. 5 Represent the organization to internal and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES ¿ STRATEGIC PLANNING 1. Drive strategy the Community Bank Practice throughout the Bond & Financial Products Regional Organization to ensure consistent, timely and effective implementation of the Practice strategy. 2. Translate strategic goals into specific business plans. 3. Monitor performance and make timely adjustments to achieve objectives and close gaps. 4. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize key initiatives. 5. Ensure operational excellence ¿Compliance with regulatory requirements ¿Documentation standards
